Celebrity fashion mogul Toyin Lawani has shared valuable advice with business owners and entrepreneurs, emphasizing the importance of authenticity in brand development.

Speaking from experience, Lawani highlighted that no one is better positioned to convey the essence of a brand than its creator. As the founder and public face of her own brand, she stressed that understanding its story, values, and purpose comes naturally to the originator.

She urged entrepreneurs to take an active role in promoting their businesses, noting that doing so allows their true passion to come through. This authenticity, she said, helps build stronger connections with audiences and fosters trust. 

She took to her Instagram page and wrote: “What do you think is the most effective way to promote your brand? My 2 cents, someone once said if you don’t have the image, get someone else to promote your brand and I would say No, that’s not true, because you’re the founder, owner, and most passionate advocate for your brand! You’re the one who knows its story, values, and mission best.

“Your authenticity and enthusiasm are infectious, and people are more likely to trust and believe in your brand when you promote it yourself. Plus, you’re the most invested in its success, and your dedication shows! Never hide behind a brand.”
