An Ondo-based pastor, Pastor Paul Oyewole has been fished out after faking his death to avoid paying a loan of N3 million from a congregant.

According to reports, the man of God, Pastor Oyewole tried to escape from repaying N3 million borrowed from a member of his congregation.

He reportedly circulated his own obituary on a social media platform after he sent a fake bank alert to his creditor, Boyede Emmanuel.

The pastor has been charged with acquiring money falsely while promising to repay it within seven days. He was also charged with publishing false news of his death to avoid paying for his debt.

The pastor is also reported to have threatened the complainant over the phone with the purpose to intimidate him and also stripping him nude in front of the complainant’s residence.
