A viral video shared by YabaLeftOnline on X (formerly Twitter) captured the shocking moment when residents gathered in disbelief, staring at the empty spaces where their backup power sets once stood. The thieves reportedly carried out the operation in the dead of night, leaving the building in total darkness.
“This is unbelievable. All the generators gone at once. Nobody heard anything? No noise?” a stunned tenant was heard saying in the clip.
The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians sharing similar experiences of generator theft in Lagos and other parts of the country.
