Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef, took to social media to honour Irish chef Alan Fisher, who just broke a new Guinness World Record by cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan.

Alan Fisher, an Irish chef, has now set the record for the longest cooking hours, breaking the previous record held by Hilda Baci of Nigeria, with a time of 119 hours and 57 minutes.

This achievement was confirmed by the Guinness World Records organisation.

First, he holds the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with a time of 119 hours and 57 minutes, more than 24 hours longer than the previous record holder, Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

Alan also set the record for the longest baking marathon (individual) with a time of 47 hours and 21 minutes, beating out the previous record holder, Wendy Sandner (USA), who had a time of 31 hours and 16 minutes.
