Nephew Stabbed His Pastor Uncle to Death during Church Service

A pastor was stabbed to death by his nephew during service on Sunday, the nephew claimed he did it because the pastor had targeted him for rituals.

The senior pastor at the Central Assemblies of God Church was stabbed to death during church service on Sunday, December 30, at Tema Community 4 in Ghana.

According to the local media, the deceased pastor identified as Rev. Dr. David Nabegmado was attacked while preparing to leave his office to the main church auditorium to preach as Service was ongoing.

He was allegedly attacked by his nephew, Francis M.Nabegmado, who lived with him for some time. Dr Nabegmado was rushed to a nearby medical facility for treatment where he died hours later.

Francis M.Nabegmado has been arrested by the police for the gruesome murder. A second suspect has also been arrested and is being interrogated by the police.

The suspect, who was arrested with alcohol, turpentine, matches, a knife and a machete, claimed Rev David Nabegmado is not a true man of God because he has been “worshiping lesser gods”.

He said of the deceased:

He’s sacrificed all the family and destroyed everybody; he was worshiping a gods in the house, when he was killing the family. I have to go and bring these gods to the house to protect the house. Then he sacrificed the church members two or three in a year.

According to the suspect, he had planned to burn Rev Nabegmado’s diety after killing him in his office at the church premises on Sunday morning but he was caught after he stabbed the pastor to death.
