A group of businessmen’s extravagant spending at a burial party causes a controversy on social media given the present economic crisis.

A video circulating on social media depicted the display of luxury among a group of people who ensured that the less privileged were oppressed.

In the video, the Nigerian Igbo men celebrated the transition of their beloved with money dropping from every corner of the party’s dance floor.

Bundles upon bundles of N200 and N500 notes were the most demonized spemt at the event, leaving several media users puzzled about their source of income.

Some argued that the extravagantness was unnecessary, while others admired the way of spending despite the country’s suffering.
