Well-known campaigner VeryDarkman has shared his story of meeting Davido in Lagos. He says the musician attempted to give him a gift and cover the cost of his Lagos residence for a year, but he turned it down.
You may remember that after seeing Davido in Lagos, VeryDarkman sparked rumors on social media.
VeryDarkman explained what happened between him and the Afrobeat musician, saying that Davido paid for the apartment for a day and offered to pay for the entire year, but he turned that offer down.
He disclosed that he moved downstairs and paid for a less expensive hotel after spending a day in the one Davido had reserved.
He moved out the next day and went to live with Seun Kuti.
VeryDarkman revealed that Davido wanted to “do him well” by sending him some money, but he turned him down when Israel DMW contacted.

A businessman has accused popular singer Davido of failing to maintain his end of the agreement after supposedly paying him N218 million naira to influence a a project for kids.
The man known on Instagram as Abusalami stated that the artist has refused to refund the money and that he is being bullied by the musician’s lawyers and boys.
He paid the artist 218 million naira out of a 326 million naira project, according to a lengthy statement he provided on his Instagram page. He revealed that a date had been scheduled for him to go 20 various states with an 11-man production team in search of young promising players, only for the singer to cancel it.
He said that the cancellation by Davido cost him 42 million naira. He went on to say that he pleaded with the artist to upload the commercial, which he ended up doing in his backyard because he couldn’t do it in a stadium, but the musician refused.
Abusalami also shared screenshots of his alleged chat with Davido to back up his claim.
