Nollywood actor Charles Inojie has sparked emotional reactions online after sharing details about his upbringing and the strained relationship within his family.

In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the popular comic actor revealed that he only lived with his biological father for about eight months.

According to him, that short period was marked by constant tension, as his presence reportedly caused ongoing disagreements in the household.

Inojie explained that his stepmother allegedly gave his father an ultimatum, forcing him to make a difficult choice between her and his son, a decision he said ended in his father choosing her.

“In all my life, I’ve only lived with my father for eight months as his child. From the moment I moved in, it was trouble every single day. My stepmother told my father to choose between me and her, and he chose her,” he recounted.

He also spoke about another painful experience when he gained admission into the university, alleging that his stepmother objected to his immediate resumption.

According to him, she suggested he should wait for her own child to grow up so they could attend school together, despite the age gap between them.

“When I finally got admission into the university, she insisted I should wait for her own child to grow so we could attend together a child I’m 18 years older than,” he added.

Despite the difficult experiences he described, Inojie noted that he still holds love for his father.
