Leading entertainment firm in Africa, MultiChoice, bravely hosted an anti-piracy roundtable session titled “Piracy Untells Our Stories” in order to confront the growing problems associated with piracy. The event’s organizers state that their goal is to encourage cooperation among important parties, create plans, and provide solutions in the continuous fight against information theft and the industries it affects, which leads to lost profits and employment opportunities.
The occasion, which took place in Lagos on November 22, promoted in-depth conversations, knowledge exchanges, and the creation of practical defenses against digital piracy. Dr. Busola Tejumola, executive head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice West Africa, emphasized the necessity of holding an event of this kind with the goals of knowledge sharing, fostering industry player collaboration, discussing and developing initiatives to raise public awareness about the consequences of content piracy and the significance of supporting legitimate content because content piracy is a shared problem.
