Elsie, a bearded woman from Tanzania, has shared details of her lifelong battle with hirsutism, an uncommon disorder that results in excessive facial hair development.

The woman, who has had this medical condition since she was a little child, discusses the difficulties and incorrect assumptions she has encountered in society.

The single mother disclosed that she frequently becomes the target of incorrect assessments, with many misidentifying her as a transgender woman.

Elsie revealed that she is rejected by most guys because they are afraid of the stigma attached to her illness.

During the conversation, Elsie disclosed that guys often ask her friends whether they are transgender or if she is a genuine woman.

Unfortunately, this misunderstanding leads to a loss of interest from potential partners once they learn about her facial hair situation.

“I accepted myself because it’s natural. I was given by God. But there are a lot of challenges that I do face. Some people think I am transgender, but I would like to clarify that I am a woman. I have been blessed with one daughter, and I am just okay. Many people wonder when they see me because I look different, but I am just like any other woman. Men fear me, and they go around asking my friends if I am a real woman or transgender,” Elsie said during the interview.
