A dramatic scene unfolded recently as a Nigerian man stormed a pastor’s office with police officers to demand a refund after mistakenly transferring ₦1 million instead of ₦100,000.
The incident was shared in a viral video posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @chukwe. According to the report, the man had intended to donate ₦100,000 to the church but accidentally sent ₦1 million to the church’s account.
Upon realizing the costly error, he contacted the pastor to request a refund of the excess ₦900,000. However, the clergyman allegedly refused to return the money, declaring it a “spiritual matter.”
The video captures the tense moment the man arrived at the pastor’s office accompanied by police officers, demanding justice. The pastor, unshaken, reportedly told him to “go to court and collect it,” insisting that the issue was spiritual.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with many questioning the pastor’s stance and debating whether religious institutions should be held legally accountable in such financial disputes.
