A young man in Eket is recovering from severe injuries after he was reportedly assaulted by his girlfriend and four of her friends in connection with a complicated love triangle.
The victim, said to be in his early 20s, had been dating a woman while secretly involved with one of her close friends.
The situation reportedly escalated when his main girlfriend, who had been away for a festive trip, returned and discovered the secret affair. Feeling betrayed, she allegedly organized a plan to confront him, enlisting four friends to help carry out the attack.
As a result of the assault, the young man sustained significant injuries, highlighting the dangerous fallout from personal disputes within intertwined relationships.
