Man ends it all on Facebook live after discovering that his girlfriend cheated on him

• Zimbabwean man Kelvin Mhofu Ngoshi, based in South Africa, committed suicide live on Facebook after discovering his girlfriend had cheated on him.

• Ngoshi was shocked to learn his lover, Kudzi, was having another affair. Kudzi plotted revenge and reported illegal coal deals to SA law enforcement, increasing Ngoshi’s arrest chances.

Kelvin Mhofu Ngoshi, a Zimbabwean living in South Africa, committed suicide live on Facebook at the weekend after discovering that his girlfriend had cheated on him.

According to Crime Watch Zimbabwe (CWZ), Ngoshi was shocked to learn that his girlfriend, only known as Kudzi, was apparently having another affair. Following the end of the relationship, Kudzi allegedly plotted revenge and reported Ngoshi’s illegal coal deals to SA law enforcement authorities, increasing his chances of his arrest.

“In the video, he didn’t say a word. He just filmed himself drinking what people initially believed to be a regular Coca-Cola, but they later realised that the beverage had been laced with some form of poison. He later died, leaving behind a young daughter,” Crime Watch Zimbabwe said

The pair was reportedly in a relationship since 2016, and they took a break before reuniting in 2023.

“Unfortunately, reports suggest that Kelvin was involved in illegal coal deals in Mpumalanga, South Africa.

On top of cheating on Kelvin, Kudzi allegedly told authorities about Kelvin’s (illegal) coal business, putting him in a terrible predicament. “This eventually led him to commit suicide,” the post continues.

Kelvin, who leaves behind a small daughter and a sister battling cancer, was the primary breadwinner as both of his parents died.
