She said she asked whether he had any criminal record, if he was currently on medication, and whether there were any illnesses in his family. She explained that her intention was not to offend him but to protect herself from future regret.
“I was just asking for my own sake,” she said, adding that she wanted to understand the kind of family she could potentially bring children into.
