Lagos State Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, has arrived at Rosaline Omotoso Courthouse, Ikeja, where the state’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal is sitting
The Peoples Democratic Party’s Olajide Adediran, also known as Jandor, and the Labour Party’s Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour’s petition for governor are scheduled for judgment by the tribunal.
Adediran and Rhodes-Vivour are contesting the results of the state’s March 18 governorship election, in which Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared the victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Rhodes-Vivour received 312,329 votes, and Adediran finished in a distant second place with 62,449 votes. Sanwo-Olu received 762,134 votes to defeat them both.
