KokoPee Offers ₦1m Reward to Identify Police Officer Seen During Protest

  • KokoPee has offered ₦1 million to identify a police officer featured in a viral protest video, saying the officer appeared sympathetic to the concerns being raised by demonstrators.
  • He argued that many officers understand the country’s challenges but are restricted by their roles.
  • His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some users praising the gesture while others criticized the idea of financially rewarding police officers outside formal structures.

Social media personality KokoPee has sparked conversation online after reacting to a trending video showing a police officer during a recent protest in Abuja.

In his reaction, KokoPee said he wanted to identify the officer and reward him with ₦1 million, arguing that the officer’s expression suggested he understood the concerns being raised by protesters, even if he could not openly participate because of his position.

“I’m looking for this Nigerian police officer to give him 1 million naira. The way he felt during the protest shows he knows what we are complaining about is true, but because he is an officer, he can’t join the protest.”

He further argued that Nigerians should do more to appreciate security personnel financially.

“We Nigerians need to learn how to appreciate officers financially. The reason why police officers quickly respond to a rich man’s cry is because they know the rich man will definitely reward them.”

The statement has generated mixed reactions online, with some supporting the gesture while others criticized the idea and questioned its implications.
