Fuad Kayode-Laguda, a financial specialist and public servant, was elected as the All Progressives Congress’ candidate for the House of Representatives by-election in the Surulere 1 Constituency.
After winning the party’s primary poll on Saturday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos, Kayode-Laguda was declared the candidate.
The goal of the February 3, 2024, bye-election is to remove Femi Gbajabiamila, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, who served as the representative for the constituency prior to being named Chief of Staff by President Bola Tinubu.
