Rita Edochie, a Nollywood actress, has responded to the burial preparations for her late younger colleague, Junior Pope.

"I refuse to celebrate this day, I dedicate it to my great son Junior Pope" - Actress Rita Edochie says as she marks a year

On Friday night, the late actor’s family provided information about his burial. Junior Pope will be put to rest on May 17, 2024, in his hometown of Enugu State.

Many people questioned why he wasn’t addressed as husband on the obituary board, among other things.

Rita Edochie, who declined to celebrate her 2024 birthday because she was grieving the deceased, replied by bemoaning life’s injustice and regretting that the actor would be laid to rest.

She was heartbroken that her once-vibrant son was now the one for whom a funeral was planned.

Rita added that she had been trying to keep her mind off him for a few days, trying not to imagine that he was no longer living, but the poster just compounded the vacuum in her heart.

She, on the other hand, cancelled another episode of anguish and begged for the thespian’s soul to rest in peace. View her post below:
