In a statement that has since gained attention online, the singer criticised what he described as a recurring pattern within the system, referencing experiences involving himself, social media activist VeryDarkMan, and human rights campaigner Omoyele Sowore.
“ it’s only in Nigeria a police will keep you in prison while they are doing their investigations, why do I have to be in prison for you to do your work? This same thing happened to Verydarkman, myself and even sowore”.
His remarks have sparked conversations across social media, with many Nigerians debating the legality and fairness of pre-trial detention and the broader issues within the justice system.
