Why I quit lecturing for skit making – ZicSaloma ZicSaloma, a well-known skit creator, explained why he decided to give up his teaching position at Kaduna Polytechnic to focus on his craft. Actress Iyabo Ojo was interviewed for a podcast recently, and Aloma said that he changed his job since he was not getting paid enough. He underlined his will to achieve and disclosed that he started his master's degree while performing his community service, finally getting hired as a lecturer at Kadpoly once his duty was finished. Aloma talked nostalgically about his time as a lecturer when he concurrently competed in singing competitions and appeared on a season of The Voice Nigeria. He talked about how he didn't mean to start doing skits and recalled the first time he struggled for three years before gaining momentum.  Aloma started sharing his sketches on Facebook, but after joining Tiktok, his material started to become more well-known. When he told his supervisor that he was quitting teaching, the supervisor was skeptical, but he didn't waver. Aloma pointed out that he quit lecturing before he was very successful at creating skits.

After noticing a police car traveling against traffic, Zicsaloma, a Nigerian comedian, goes in search of explanation.

Recently, Zicsaloma gave his mother a new house. He asked on his Instagram account whether it is OK for a police car to violate traffic laws in Nigeria.

The creator of the skit clarified why the police officers decided to travel in one direction even though there was space in the other lane: they weren’t in a rush.

He went on to say that he almost ran them over and that if the tables had been turned, they would have taken his car under Lagos State’s “one way law.”

Zicsaloma wrote: “I want to know, is it legal for a Police vehicle to follow ‘one way’ cos these guys were clearly not in a hurry; the other lane was even free. I just need clarification cos I almost collided with them and if the reverse was the case, they would be talking of impounding my car according to lagos ‘one way law’.”
