Iran has pledged to continue its nuclear programme despite recent attacks by the United States and Israel targeting its key nuclear facilities.
Mohammad Eslami, head of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, stated on state TV that the country had already put measures in place to sustain operations and assess damage following the strikes. He emphasized that Iran had prepared in advance to restart affected facilities and ensure continuity in production and services.
The U.S. military, acting under President Donald Trump’s orders, struck several uranium enrichment sites in Iran—including Fordo, Isfahan, and Natanz—describing the operation as a major military success. The extent of the damage is still being evaluated.
An adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei reaffirmed Iran’s resilience, stating that the country still possesses considerable enriched uranium reserves, adding, “the game is not over.”
On Monday, Israel confirmed an additional strike on the Fordo facility, claiming it was meant to block access routes to the underground site.
