INSECURITY: Reps in Rowdy Session over Motion to Invite Buhari.
The House of Representatives has erupted in crisis over a motion calling for President Muhammadu Buhari to be summoned to answer questions on high rise of insecurity in the country.
It had earlier been reported that during the congressional hearing on Tuesday, December 1, one of the lawmakers submitted a motion to invite the president to the National Assembly.
But the incident provoked some of Buhari’s supporters, causing a rift between the lawmakers.
Although, the demand for the president to declare a state of emergency in the north-east and north-west has been welcomed by lawmakers.
House of Representatives members then commenced to resolve the differences that had risen over the motion.
