“In 2020, I Used to Sell Bedbug Killer”: Brainjotter Recount Life Before Fame

Recently, comedian Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Amuzie, sometimes known as Brainjotter, stirred up controversy with some disclosures he made on his lowly origins.

In an interview with Big Brother Naija star Kim Oprah, Brainjotter described how, after 2020, he went from having no heroes in his life to having heroes.

Kim Oprah showed a 2019 video of Brainjotter, who had just begun his comedic career, during the interview.

The skit maker revealed his troubles after seeing the old clip. He disclosed that before to being accepted into the University of Lagos in 2020, he was a laundry worker in order to make ends meet.

According to Brainjotter, he was only paid N15k at the time. He continued by saying that after he began working as a bedbug killer vendor the following year, his pay climbed to N30,000. He clarified that prior to his skit becoming viral, this was his best salary. And he’s currently recognized as one of Nigeria’s highest-earning skitmake.
