Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has reacted to reports of his defeat in the APC primary election for a House of Representatives seat, insisting that the setback will not discourage his political ambitions.
Speaking during a conversation with streamer Peller, the nightlife entrepreneur said he remains unfazed by online criticism, claiming that many of his critics on social media do not match his financial standing.
“I’ll never give up even if I lose again. All these people wey dey troll me for IG and Twitter, I checked their page and none of them get G-Wagon,” he said.
Cubana Chief Priest also disclosed that several media outlets reached out to him after the election result, but he chose to engage only with younger audiences, which influenced his decision to speak during the interaction.
He further suggested that his political journey is still unfolding, hinting that a bigger role may be ahead despite the recent loss.
“How will I be sad at what poor men are saying? Everybody dey call me, TVC dey call me, Channels dey call me, but you’re the only one I replied because I’m for the youths. I have a plan B, maybe God wants me to be the Governor,” he added.
His remarks have triggered mixed reactions online, with supporters praising his confidence while critics faulted his comments about less privileged individuals.
The statement continues to generate buzz across social media as Nigerians debate his post-election comments.
