- Mummy GO has triggered online debate after claiming that supporters of Peter Obi are already behaving like political thugs despite him not being in power.
- Her comments sparked mixed reactions, with critics demanding evidence while supporters of Obi dismissed the claims as political bias.

Popular content creator Mummy GO has stirred reactions online after criticizing supporters of former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over alleged acts of intimidation and harassment.
In a viral statement circulating on social media, Mummy GO claimed that individuals she described as “political thugs” linked to Obi’s movement were already exhibiting violent behavior despite him not being in power.
According to her, such actions raise concerns about how the country would be governed if Obi eventually becomes president.
“If You Nigerians Vote Someone Like Peter Obi, Political Thugs Like MamaPee And Co, Are Those Who Will Run His Government,” she said.
She further alleged that some supporters had been involved in breaking phones, intimidating critics, and fighting opponents online and offline.
“Peter Obi Is Not Even In Power Yet, And His Political Thugs Are Busy Breaking People’s Phones, Intimidating And Fighting Them. Someone Like Peter Obi Is Not Capable Of Running Nigeria,” she added.
Her comments quickly sparked heated reactions across X (formerly Twitter), with many Nigerians disagreeing with her claims and demanding evidence.
One user wrote:
“Accusations like this should be backed with facts, not emotions or political bias.”
Another added:
“If you followed Peter Obi’s governorship or have taken 5 minutes to research about the man, you won’t be making this post.”
Some users also accused bloggers of amplifying controversial statements simply for engagement.
“They will never post you till when you say something controversial that will give them engagement,” another reaction read.
Others, however, defended her right to express her opinion while calling for more civil political discussions online.
