Nigerian street-hop singer Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, has stirred reactions online after releasing a romantic song dedicated to his wife, Bewaji.
The controversial artist shared a video clip on his Instagram page where he appeared emotional while singing about love, loyalty, and the sudden changes in his life. In the song, Portable reflected on how fame has transformed his lifestyle and how people now pay close attention to everything he does.
He also reassured his wife of his commitment, promising never to abandon her despite the attention he receives from other women.
“When did my life become like magic? Everybody is looking at me like a Zombie. My honey, my darling, I will never leave you for another. The girls are following him,” he sang.
Many social media users believe the song may be Portable’s way of apologising to Bewaji following rumours that he recently welcomed a child with one of the managers at his popular Odogwu Bar.
Reports making rounds online claim the woman allegedly gave birth to a baby boy for the singer, although Portable has not officially addressed the speculation.
