Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has opened up about a memorable moment with football legend Cristiano Ronaldo after Napoli’s 1–0 win over Juventus in February 2021.

In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, Osimhen revealed that he waited nearly an hour just to take a photo with the Portuguese icon a moment he describes as unforgettable.

According to Osimhen, he approached Ronaldo after the match and asked for a photo. Ronaldo agreed, telling him to come to the dressing room.

“I said to him, ‘Chris, I’d like to take a picture with you,’ and he said, ‘Yeah, come to the dressing room,’” Osimhen recounted.

However, when Osimhen arrived, Ronaldo wasn’t there. Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon noticed him waiting and asked what was going on. After hearing Osimhen’s reason, Buffon escorted him to the gym, where Ronaldo was still working out.

“Buffon told me Ronaldo was still working out and asked me to sit with him. We waited for almost 30 minutes, and Ronaldo still wasn’t out. I ended up waiting for an hour,” Osimhen said.

When Ronaldo finally emerged, Osimhen was stunned by his fitness level. “Look at the laps, the veins you’d think he was 25 years old,” he remarked.

To top it off, Ronaldo praised Osimhen for his performance that day, telling him, “Great game, just keep on going,” before shaking his hand.

While Ronaldo, now 40, is expected to renew his contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr, Osimhen’s future remains uncertain following his loan spell with Galatasaray.
