“I felt loved and appreciated”- Skitmaker Kiekie thankful as she bags award

The love and support from her fans and followers has left Nollywood actress Bukunmi Adeaga Ilori, also known as “Kiekie,” speechless.

Kiekie took to Instagram to thank her fans after winning an award at the Her Conomy gala and awards night.

The prize for “The brand influencer of the year” went to skit maker.

Kiekie was overcome by emotion after receiving an applause from the audience.*

Yesterday at the @herconomy gala and awards night. I won the award for “The brand influencer of the year” and ovation in the auditorium was overwhelmingly. I felt loved and appreciated. All I can say is thank you!”.

Why I don’t try to be nice to everyone – Skit maker Kiekie

Skit maker cum actress, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori alias Kiekie, while speaking about her relationship with people stated that she doesn’t try to be nice to everyone.

Kiekie who recently became a mother of one said that since regardless of what she does, it might not make people like her, she might as well not bother trying.

Speaking during an interview on the Tea with Tay podcast, she said:

“I don’t believe that things should be handed to me. I believe in owning it. I believe that I am enough. I don’ try to be unnecessarily nice or friendly with people. That is one reality many people are not really open to. No one likes everybody or everything. There are some foods that one does not like. So, why should everybody like one?

“I said to myself if I was not given a platform, I would create one myself. As of that time, I had started posting fashion content, and I had 20,000 followers on Instagram.”

Kiekie also noted that she was very mischievous as a child. She stated:

“I am the last child. Being the last child comes with a lot of mischief. I was very mischievous as a child. And, that made me to get away with many things. I attended a girls only school, and I stayed in the hostel. Since I was very young, my parents had known that I was going to be a child of wonders. At no point did they try to stop me
