Veteran entertainer Charly Boy has spoken again about his controversial 2014 encounter with former Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha, defending his actions during the incident.
In a recent interview, Charly Boy recounted how he interrupted the governor while he was addressing guests at his father’s burial ceremony by taking the microphone from him.
He explained that he felt the event was being turned into a political platform, something he strongly disapproved of.
“Mmhmm. Is that a cr!me? I for don sl@p am. He wanted to use my father’s burial as a campaign for politics. And you don’t do that. Not when I’m around,” he said.
The entertainer added that he eventually asked the former governor to leave the venue, insisting that Okorocha understood the situation despite being surrounded by security personnel.
Interviewer: “In 2014, there was something that happened with the former governor of Imo state. He was speaking and you collected the Mic from him.”
Charly Boy: “Mmhmm. Is that a cr!me? I for don sl@p am. He wanted to use my father’s burial as a campaign for politics. And you don’t do that. Not when I’m around. You don’t do that kind of bull$h!t so I had to send him out.
And he knew he was in my territory. Even with all his bodyguards, na my territory him dey…”
