Dare Fasasi, also known as Baba Dee, a veteran Nigerian artist and rapper, has received conflicting reactions for statements he made about his late younger brother, Sound Sultan, while appearing on Teju Babyface’s podcast.

During the event, Baba Dee also discussed losing out on the opportunity to sign Wizkid while he was still a studio rat.

He said that before Banky W signed Wiz, his late brother Sound Sultan recommended him to include him on their roster as Naija Ninjas, but he was too confident in him.

Baba Dee observed that Wizkid had always been a peaceful, easygoing person with a clear vision of what he desired.

The former music executive also discussed his brother’s death and the illness that took his life.

He said that six months before Sound Sultan died, he knew he was living on borrowed time, despite being treated at one of the world’s top non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma institutions.

Baba Dee explained to Teju Babyface the benefits of possessing a second passport, while also mentioning that he, unlike his other guests, had no Uber driving stories.
