- A resurfaced video of US President Donald Trump rejecting lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine requirements has gone viral following reports of confirmed hantavirus cases linked to a cruise ship outbreak.
- The clip sparked heated reactions online as global discussions around possible health restrictions intensified.

A video of United States President, Donald Trump, speaking against lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates has resurfaced online amid growing concerns over reported hantavirus cases.
The clip began trending shortly after the World Health Organization confirmed multiple hantavirus cases linked to a cruise ship sailing in the Atlantic Ocean.
In the viral video, Trump criticised attempts to revive COVID-era restrictions through fear campaigns.
“The left-wing lunatics are trying very hard to bring back COVID lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fear-mongering. These are bad people. These are sick people we’re dealing with,” Trump said.
The US president further declared that Americans would resist any fresh restrictions similar to those imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“But to every COVID tyrant who wants to take away our freedom, hear these words: We will not comply. So don’t even think about it,” he added.
Trump also insisted that schools and public institutions should never be shut down again over health concerns.
“We will not shut down our schools. We will not accept your lockdown. We will not abide by your mask mandates,” he stated.
“And we will not tolerate your vaccine mandates.”
The former and current US leader also warned that institutions enforcing vaccine or mask requirements could risk losing federal support.
“I will use every available authority to cut federal funding to any school, college, airline or public transportation system that imposes a mask mandate or a vaccine mandate. Thank you very much,” Trump said.
The video has since generated mixed reactions online, with some users supporting Trump’s stance while others expressed concerns over misinformation surrounding hantavirus and public health measures.
