Gunmen have abducted a charcoal dealer, Kola Bosere and his assistant simply identified as Philemon in Jebba, Moro local government area of Kwara State.

GISTLOVER learned that the victims were kidnapped early on Monday.

At around midnight, the alleged kidnappers broke into Sikiru’s home as he was in bed.

The gunmen captured Sikiru and his assistant Mr. Philemon after Sikiru began exporting charcoal to other nations.

According to a source close to the victims’ families, “Philemon was later released while Sikiru’s whereabouts have remained unknown.”

According to information obtained, Philemon was receiving medical care at a Jebba private hospital.

Okasanmi Ajayi, a spokesman for the Kwara State Police Command, confirmed the incident to LEADERSHIP.

According to him, a search and rescue operation has since been started by the police.

A case of kidnapping was reported early this morning; one victim has already been freed, and work is still being done to free the other victim and possibly apprehend the kidnappers.
