- According to him, the gesture was inspired by compassion after seeing the woman constantly crying during his sermon.

Popular Nigerian cleric, Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has recounted how he once gifted his Lincoln Navigator SUV to a poor widow in his church after being moved by her tears.
Sharing the story online, the pastor explained that the woman was known in the church for cleaning the altar regularly without receiving any salary.
According to him, the emotional moment happened during a Sunday service when he arrived in church with his luxury vehicle.
“One Sunday I drove my Lincoln Navigator to church,” he wrote.
The cleric revealed that while preaching, he noticed the widow seated in the fifth row crying throughout the sermon and wiping her tears with a handkerchief.
“As I was preaching, I saw one poor widow seating at the fifth role in the church that is always cleaning the alter free of charge without collecting salary. Through out my preaching she was crying and cleaning her tears with handerchief,” he said.
Moved by compassion, the pastor said he began thinking about how to turn her pain into joy.
“So I spoke to myself, what can I do to turn the tears of pain of this widow to tears of joy,” he added.
He then called the woman out before the congregation and handed over the keys to the Lincoln Navigator he drove to church.
According to him, one wealthy church member later bought the vehicle from the widow and transferred the money directly into her bank account.
“One wealthy member of church bought the car from her and transferred money into her account. Her tears of pains was converted to tears of joy,” he stated.
The pastor also disclosed that the vehicle itself had originally been gifted to him by another church member.
“And I did not buy the Lincoln Navigator, it was a gift from a member. So gift also goes out as gift and GOD IS HAPPY,” he concluded.
