“Getting help in Nollywood is difficult” – Joseph Momodu

Fasting rising Nigerian movie star Joseph Momodu has disclosed that it is very difficult getting help in the movie industry.

He said, “The journey has not been smooth, it was actually rough. However, I thank God for His mercies. If not for his grace, I would have opted out of the industry a long time ago because people are not willing to help. Once they see that you talented, they would want to pull you down.”

Nollywood type casts actors. I used to be stereotyped as a lover boy in Nollywood. However, I have played other roles convincingly as well. And that has made producers and directors to see the range of what I can offer. I have also acted as both a wicked and gullible husband. I am no longer sterotyped” he added.

The internet has been agog since Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) announced its 2023 nominee list, as actors/actresses took to their Instagram pages to celebrate their nominations.

One of the nominees of the upcoming award show is Yoruba actor, Femi Adebayo, who can’t keep calm.

King of Thieves received nine nominations, including Best Director, Best Actor, Best Art Director, Best Writer, Best Picture Editor, Best Makeup, Best Sound Track, and Best Overall Movie.
