The Plateau State Police Command, has paraded 6 out of the 8 suspects declared wanted in connection with the death of Major General Idris Alkali.

Spokesman of the Command, DSP Mathias Terna Tyopev who spoke to newsmen, said two were still at large. 6 suspects who submitted themselves and 13 others who were earlier paraded by the military in connection with the crime, were paraded by the police.

The Police Public Relations Officer who assured that efforts were being made by the command to track down the two suspects at large, gave the names of the 6 suspects who submitted themselves as Stephen Chuwang, Timothy Chuwang, Mathew Chuwang Rwang, Yakubu Rapp, Pam Gyang Dung and Moses Gyang.

While the arrested suspects were not allowed to speak to newsmen, the police PRO said they will soon be charge to court according to their involvement in the crime.

Major General Idris Alkali was declared missing on September 3. His body parts were found in an abandoned well in Guchwet village of Shen district, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

This came after the Nigerian army announced it located a shallow grave, where the late general was initially buried before the body was exhumed and taken someplace else.
