  • Mayowa Lambe has served her ex-husband a cease-and-desist notice after his viral podcast claims about their relationship.
  • She accused him of defamation, demanded a public apology, and is seeking ₦100 million in damages, escalating the ongoing dispute.

Nigerian entrepreneur Mayowa Lambe has taken legal action against her ex-husband following his recent claims about their past relationship during a podcast appearance.

The development comes days after her ex-husband publicly alleged that she left him to marry another man in the United States, a statement that quickly gained traction online.

In response, Mayowa, through her legal representatives, issued a cease-and-desist notice demanding an immediate halt to what she described as defamatory statements.

Part of the legal document reads:
“Malicious defamation, false public narratives, and deliberate reputational damage against Ms. Mayowa Lambe.”

Her legal team further accused the ex-husband of spreading falsehoods and attempting to tarnish her image through public platforms.

“It is deeply concerning that you have embarked on a deliberate and sustained campaign of falsehood… to disseminate fabricated narratives about our client,” the notice stated.

The document also alleged that the statements made included serious claims about infidelity, financial dependency, and moral character, which were described as misleading and harmful.

“These statements are not only untrue but appear calculated to mislead the public, attract attention, and generate sympathy at the expense of our client’s reputation,” it added.

As part of her demands, Mayowa is seeking a public apology as well as ₦100 million in damages for the alleged harm caused.

The notice also warned that failure to comply could result in further legal action.
