Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode who is known to be close to the IPOB leader has warned the federal government over the rearrests of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Fani-Kayode in a post on his Twitter account charged the Federal Government to ensure that Kanu is treated with decency and respect while in custody.

“It is no longer news that @MaziNnamdiKanu has been arrested and detained. I advise the FG to ensure that he does not die in custody and that he is treated with decency, decorum and respect,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the British High Commission has reacted to the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

A spokesperson of the British High Commission, Dean Hurlock, while speaking with The Cable said Kanu was not picked up in the UK where he is based.

Hurlock in a text message wrote, “We can confirm that Nnamdi Kanu was not arrested in the UK for extradition purposes.”
