Speculation around Justin Bieber’s mental state is growing once again after the pop star made an unexpected change to his Instagram profile and uploaded a string of puzzling posts.
The 31-year-old “Stay” singer, who was previously known as @justinbieber on the platform, has now switched his handle to @lilbieber — a move that left fans scratching their heads, as no explanation has been given for the sudden change.
The name update comes on the heels of increasingly erratic online behavior, which has included cryptic messages that many believe were aimed at his wife, Hailey, as well as a heated post on Father’s Day.
Adding to the concern, Bieber recently went on a posting spree, uploading a series of moody selfies and screenshots from video calls with friends.
Social media users have flooded the comments, with some joking that the new handle hints at a possible rap phase, drawing comparisons to artists like Lil Wayne and Lil Xan. Others, however, are more worried about what these changes might really signify.
