Ex-Nigerian defender, Mike Onyemachara, is dead

Mike Onyemachara, a former member of the Flying Eagles team that earned a silver medal in Saudi Arabia in 1989, died on Thursday, May 4th, 2023.

When his wife and children left for work and school, he was said to be in good health. When they returned, they discovered that the food on the table had not been touched and that Onyemachara had died.

The circumstances of his death are unknown at this time, while there are rumors that he died in his three-bedroom residence in Ajegunle.

Some of his close teammates have stated that he has been suffering from back trouble recently.

Onyemachara was known for his skill as a defender and played most of his games with First Bank of Lagos. He was also a valuable member of the Saudi 89 Flying Eagles team.

Flag bearer faints during coronation of King Charles III

In other news According to reports, one of the flag bearers during King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey in London fainted.

In photographs posted online on Saturday, a flag bearer dressed in red regalia and black trousers and shoes was seen being aided by his fellow flag bearers after landing on his back.

Following Charles’ elevation to the role of sovereign head of the United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth states, the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, crowned his 75-year-old wife Camilla as Queen.

This was the first coronation in the United Kingdom since 1953, approximately 70 years ago.
