“Everything Is False”- Papaya Ex Responds To PA’s Brother’s Extortion Allegations

  • Nigerian influencer Papaya Ex has responded to allegations made by her personal assistant’s brother.
  • The brother accused her of assault and failing to pay his sister’s salary.
  • The assistant reportedly earns ₦120,000 monthly but has not been paid for three months.

Popular Nigerian influencer Papaya Ex has addressed allegations leveled against her by the brother of her personal assistant, who accused her of assault and failure to pay salary.

The controversy began after a Nigerian videographer went online to claim that his sister, who works as Papaya Ex’s personal assistant on a ₦120,000 monthly wage, had allegedly not received payment for three months. He further alleged that the dispute started after the influencer reportedly misplaced her iPhone 16 Pro Max during the premiere of actress Iyabo Ojo’s film The Return of Arinzo in March 2026.

According to him, tensions escalated when he went to Papaya Ex to appeal on behalf of his sister, but the discussion allegedly turned hostile, leading to a situation where his phone was taken during the encounter.

Responding in a discussion with her sister, Yomidun, Papaya Ex denied all the accusations, describing them as false and misleading. She maintained that her employees are properly compensated and insisted that she has proof of payments made via bank transfers.

She also defended her pay structure, stating that her personal assistants earn more than what is being circulated online, while questioning the authenticity of the allegations being made.

Papaya Ex further claimed that both the PA and her brother misrepresented several details, including issues around missing items and finances, adding that any disciplinary measures taken were due to alleged misconduct.

She added that her staff also enjoy accommodation and other benefits, stressing that the matter has been exaggerated and taken out of context.

In another statement shared by Yomidun on her behalf, it was suggested that there may have been foul play involved, with claims that the phone incident might not have been accidental.

Her words…

“Imagine you are collecting about 300,000 naira every month and you are saying that they are paying you N120K, inside it is feeding, transportation, not to go home, why are you lying?

There is a statement of account there, everybody knows, everybody that paid me knows that they paid in Sumunachi’s account, and everyone that gets money from me knows they get an alert from Munachi, Munachi literally pays all of us because that is what I do for every one of my PAs

How many people can pay their PA the sum of 300k? What kind of work am I even doing? Should I be paying her one million naira every month because she is dressing me up? Please let me know if she is my executive assistant, so are you people seriously telling me that 300k is too small for a personal assistant (PA)every month with free accommodation? How much are they even paying workers working with the government?

If you know you don’t want my 300k, tell me and be going, I want you and your brother to leave the house tomorrow

“Ah Ah, I don’t understand, you misplaced iPhone 16 Prom Max, you stole iPhone 17 Pro Max, you stole 2million, then you still stole 200k for your brother, and you are telling me that seizing your phone is making yourlife pause.”
