“Wahala”- Reactions as Eguavoen resigns as Super Eagles coach following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for 2022 World Cup


Nigeria’s Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen, the Super Eagles’ team coach, has resigned.

Following Nigeria’s inability to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, a source in the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) told Blueprint that he opted to resign.

Between November and December 2022, Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup.

According to reports, Austin Eguavoen has already handed to the NFF, his resignation letter.

Although the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) is yet to release an official statement to notify the public of his resignation.

It can be recalled that the country had failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup after a home draw with Ghana on Tuesday.
