Ebonyi: Umahi Makes Peace With Anyim, Egwu.

The Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, on Monday revealed that his decision to make peace with leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state has reduced his blood pressure.

The differences started between the former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim, former Governor of the state, Sam Egwu and Umahi when he joined the All Progressives Congress.

The Governor while speaking at his hometown on Monday noted that peace has been restored through the intervention of the Catholic Bishop of Abakaliki Diocese, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the state Founding Fathers Forum, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, among others.

He said:

“We should practice the Christianity we profess and this forgiveness has ensured that my blood pressure has dropped to 110/20 from 120/20.”

Umahi, however, reiterated that his decision to allow peace in the state should not be mistaken for weakness, he added: “The people should know that David is a man of war.”

Umahi finally tendered an apology to Anyim, Egwu and others following their recent exchange of words.
