David Adeleke, a Nigerian singer and music executive better known as Davido, has congratulated his personal police security on his promotion.
The bodyguard, simply known as Bawo, is also a Nigeria Police Force officer who was just promoted to the rank of Inspector.
The Nigeria Police stated on Friday that the Police Service Commission has authorized the promotion of more than 90 officers to higher positions.
Davido decided to elevate Bawo’s standing at home by presenting him with a new badge and applauding him.
A video that leaked on the internet shows OBO performing the honors of affixing a new badge on Bawo’s bulletproof vest.
“Congratulations on your promotion to Inspector of the Nigeria Police Force,” Davido said while pinning it on his vest.
On his part, Bawo took to his IG page and wrote; “Thank you my Good Boss @davido for the decoration of my new rank. For the love you’ve always been showing me I can’t pay you but I pledge to be faithful, LOYAL and honest. May God keep protecting and blessing you for us, Amen”
