At the Dangote Cement Plant in Ibese, Ogun State, on Monday, Johnson Samson, a truck driver, is claimed to have died in the cabin of his vehicle while asleep

Samson, a truck driver employed by Dangote Cement Transport in Ibese, was reportedly declared dead by a medical professional who treated him.

Gistlover learned that the driver had earlier told a coworker, who went by the name Oharisi, that he was sick and that he needed to take a nap.

When it became clear that the driver was weak, he was instructed to go rest inside his car, which was parked at the Ibese facility’s agro sack.

Concerned that the driver had not returned after a few minutes, his coworkers decided to send another colleague to check on him. When that colleague arrived, they discovered that the driver was unconscious inside the truck’s cabin.

Following the discovery, our correspondent was informed that the colleague notified others and took Samson to one Jaji Clinic, Dangote Ibese, where the medical staff declared him dead.

Omolola Odutola, a spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed the occurrence to our correspondent on Tuesday and stated there was no reason to suspect foul play.

She stated, “The body was examined by our men. We didn’t discover any violence or foul play. The body has been deposited at the state hospital morgue for postmortem examination.”
