Popular Nigerian nightlife mogul, Cubana Chiefpriest, is currently facing backlash online after a video of him interacting with a beggar in London stirred controversy.

The viral clip, recorded on the streets of London, showed the socialite who recently made headlines for reportedly suing his alleged baby mama engaging in a conversation with a homeless man. However, it was his comment about the man’s footwear that drew public ire.

In the video, Cubana Chiefpriest remarked:

“Look at the shoes he’s wearing; they’re even better than mine.”

His entourage burst into laughter following the comment, seemingly entertained, while the beggar remained composed and continued conversing with them.

Though the moment may have appeared lighthearted to those present, many Nigerians online didn’t take it lightly. Social media users criticized the remark as insensitive and mocked the billionaire influencer for what they described as a lack of empathy.
