Covenant university, others emerge top Varsities in Nigeria

The top three universities in Nigeria, according to the Times Higher Education ranking for 2024, are Covenant University, University of Ibadan, and Federal University of Technology, Akure.

According to analysis of the most recent rankings, Covenant University is one of the top 1,000 universities in the world.

Covenant University is listed in the global 801-1000 range despite being ranked first in Nigeria.

The University of Ibadan came in second, followed by FUTA, and Covenant University, a privately owned institution, took first place in Nigeria.

In Nigeria, the University of Lagos came in fourth and the University of Bayero came in fifth.

According to The Ranking Web, there are 1,904 universities in the ranking from 108 different countries and regions.

In 108 different nations and regions, 1,904 universities are included in the Times Higher World University ranking.

One in the North West, one in the North Central, two in the South East, two in the South South, and nine of the top 15 universities are located in the South West.
