Popular Nigerian singer, Burna Boy, has sparked reactions on social media as he has commended South African rapper, Nasty C for his unique rapping talents. Nasty C is one of South Africa’s best rappers and record producers. He was the youngest recipient of an award at the 2015 South African Hip Hop Awards, namely the Best Freshman Award.
During a live interview, Burna Boy stated bluntly that he would bet his last penny on Nasty C and always choose him over other American rappers. He mentioned that Nasty C’s music should be considered rap and not Afrobeat because he is from Africa.
Burna Boy said;
“Yeah, everything is not Afrobeat. Nasty C is a rapper. And because he’s from Africa now, you’re going to say Afrobeat? Nah, he’s a rapper. Brah, I’ll put my money on Nasty C over almost any American rapper”.
