Asake allegedly gifts ailing Policewoman in viral ‘epp me’ clip N5 million amid claims of him owing her song royalties

Following requests from fans for financial assistance, Asake, a popular Nigerian singer, stepped up and donated 5 million naira to Helen Utabor, the policewoman behind the viral “epp me epp me” trend, who is currently battling health issues.

Remember that I Go Save, a popular comedian, recently took to Instagram to share a video of the ailing officer who was said to have been hit by a vehicle while controlling traffic in Edo. The comedian has stated that she requires 1.5 million naira for treatment.

When word got out, fans flooded social media, pleading with YBNL music star Asake to help the woman. Many claimed he owed her royalties for using her viral ‘epp me epp me’ slang as the intro to his song  ‘Peace Be Unto You’.
In a recent video, I Go Save updated fans on the donations for the ailing officer, revealing that Asake had answered the call for help by transferring 5 million naira into her account. As proof, he provided screenshots of the transfer transactions.

I Go Save confirmed the officer’s positive reaction to treatment. He chastised high-ranking police officers and politicians for remaining silent about her health crisis and urged them to intervene.

In addition, the comedian cautioned police officers against using their uniforms to oppress Nigerians.
