The Mortuary Staff Union in Ghana who will soon embark on a strike over their poor working conditions and demand of improved services including the salaries they say is not good enough, have told Ghanaians to postpone their deaths till the strike is over.

Speaking ahead of the strike which will come off on November 20, 2018, Richard Kofi Jordan, General Secretary of mortuary workers Union has told Ghanaians who wish to die to wait until they resume work after their strike action.

“Those who intend to die during that period should wait when mortuary men are back to work they die. Simple” he sounded a word of caution indicating that their planned strike action will come off as planned unless government heeds to their concerns.

The aggrieved members of the Mortuary Staff Union had alleged that their sufferings go unnoticed by authorities of the various public health facilities in Ghana, even though they they are exposed to several diseases in view of the dead bodies and chemicals.they come into contact with. According to them, each time they raise concerns, the government appears to be dragging its feet.
