Temidayo Omoniyi popularly known as Zlatan Ibile or just Zlatan is a Nigerian rapper, Singer and he is the pioneer of the popular Zanku dance step and the crooner of the “Zanku” song. The rapper is of Ekiti descent and he schooled in Ogun state at the moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Abeokuta popularly known as Mapoly.

Zlatan released “My Body” which featured the king of the street and father of three, Olamide Baddosneh Adedeji in 2017 and that was when his life starts turnaround.

Chinko Ekun sought out Zlatan and another former YBNL signee as well, Lil Kesh on One of the biggest 2018 singles which he titled “Able God”.

The success of the song positively affected Zlatan’s career and the release of “Zanku” sealed his spot at the top of the food chain.

He was the most sought after star shutting down everywhere and infecting the whole country with his Zanku Dance Virus. This dance led to the success of dancer from Lagos State University, LASU called Poco Lee who trended for his crazy legwork skills that left several people mouths gaping wide apart.

Two collaborations with Davido, the sub-par “Osanle” and the critically accepted “BumBum”. Davido showed interest in the rapper after the release of “My body” and he was seen dancing to it on his instagram. Since then he has supported Zlatan immensely, he recently gave the rapper a sixty thousand dollars diamond encrusted necklace! Huge!

2019 wasn’t a calm year for Zlatan as the continued the hit streak, the early part of the year saw him release the biggest collaboration of the year titled “Killin Dem” alongside the African Giant, Damini Ogulu Burna Boy and it was produced by legendary producer Sarz’s former student and trainee, Kel P. Yes Sarz Trained Kel P!

“Killin Dem” made it into the African Giant Album by Burna Boy which was nominated for Best world album at the Grammy’s.

By proxy, 2019 saw Zlatan Ibile get nominated for a Grammy award!

“Am I A Yahoo Boy” alongside Naira Marley and the anti-graft agency (EFCC) scandal further propagated Zlatan to limelight, his return from custody saw the release of “4 Nights In Ekohtiebo”, a song where he described his ordeal in the hands of the financial crime fighting forces.

“Bolanle”, “Gelato”, “Yeye Boyfriend”, “Shotan”, “This Year”, “Gbeku” these were all part of Zlatan’s hit discography for 2019.

Towards the end of the year, he announced “Zanku” the album, a body of work to wrap up the year, it was his debut album.

On the 31st of October 2019, he held a press conference and an album listening, he acknowledged that his father was indeed a redeem pastor and this sent several people bonkers!

Zlatan is known to make vulgar and lewd content filled music it was hard to believe that he was indeed from a Christian home. His middle name is Raphael and his father is indeed a pastor at the prestigious Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG).

At the event, Zlatan led the opening prayer and admitted it took time for his family to adjust to his style of music.

Weeks later, a video trended of Zlatan performing with a live band serenading a crowd to the best of gospel songs in what seemed like a praise and worship session.
